‘The Raintree Jams’ was born from our love of listening to live music and supporting independent musicians. Hosted on the maraa terrace, under the rain tree, the jams are an attempt to keep alive the spirit of live music, jamming and collaboration in the city. We work with a basic technical setup, hosting independent musicians across genres. We hope to build this space as an independent venue for live music, free from the compulsions of the market and branding. A space dedicated to the ears, only. So far, the Jams have featured Gauley Bhai, Khalid Ahamed (Parvaaz), Rumi Harish, Root and Branch (UK) , amongst others.
