The year that passed from us finding ways in many different directions and places, we got stuck here and there. There were thorny pathways, dead ends and vanishing points. We are still in the process of finding our way back.
The year threw up several unexpected surprises, accidents, deaths and horrifying news. Individually, collectively, politically. There have always been signs of hope that have not yet killed our conviction and belief in our work. We were lucky to see, meet, and gather people who looked at the same issue from different perspectives. Much like a Leonard Cohen song Anthem, he says, there is a crack, a crack in everything.
That’s how the light gets in. But that’s where the light gets in, that’s where the return, that’s where the repentance is, where the recall is. It is with the confrontation, with the brokenness of things.
